CharGrill
"Char's Graphical Renderer of Images in Lots of Layouts"

My partner is a graphic designer. At one point she was producing a magazine that consisted primarily of preset-photo-layouts. I got frustrated watching her do it by hand, made my usual "oh, I could write that in a day" remark, and then was compelled to put my code where my mouth was.

The CharGrill takes sets of images, page-layout templates, and composits them together to produce print-ready hi-res TIFFs, at a bajillion DPI, all CMYKed up the wazoo.
